David Moyes is hopeful Everton's ÂŁ35million compensation payment to Burnley will not impact their transfer business.
The Toffees have been ordered to pay the record figure over Profit & Sustainability rule breaches during the 2021/22 season.
Everton were subsequently deducted eight points during the 2023/24 campaign.
However, had the penalty been applied during the season in which the breaches occurred, Burnley would have avoided relegation at Everton's expense.
The Clarets are now set to receive ÂŁ35m in compensation and interest after suing the Premier League club.
Everton confirmed in a statement on Wednesday that they have appealed the decision.

Toffees boss Moyes has now addressed the situation after joining White & Jordan on talkSPORT.
Sharing his initial thoughts on the punishment, he said: "Iâm not up to the situation exactly how it is and obviously the club are challenging it at the moment as well, which is really important, but itâs really disappointing.
"I donât know if this opens a huge can of worms with other events as well. Teams who have maybe not got promoted, for example, because the Premier League teams are having problems with PSR.
"I felt that we had paid our dues, if thatâs right, and we had done it already, but for this to come back to us, it feels like an individual case.
"But I donât know if itâs going to open up more things for other clubs to do something similar."

When asked if it will affect his side's transfer business this summer, the talkSPORT pundit added: "They told me no, Simon.
"They told me that it wouldnât have any effect on it and look I was aware of this probably four or five weeks ago when it was happening that this would be the case.
"But Iâm hoping that it doesnât because last season, as you rightly say, we had a good season except the last month or so when we sort of blew up and we were in a really, really strong position.
"So if itâs anything I hope itâs a message to the Premier League. Itâs so difficult. If you donât do well you can find yourself in trouble again. We donât want to be back in those situations we were in the past.
"My understanding is that the Friedkins were aware of this when they were buying the club and there was a possibility this could happen.
"So the answer to that is I really hope it has no effect on what weâre going to do in the summer."
Everton finished 13th for the second successive season as they once again ended the campaign with 49 points.
Moyes' side were just four points adrift of European qualification, though, after failing to win any of their final six matches.
