The FA has today released the latest fees that were paid out to football agents between February 2025 and February 2026 – and Wolves’ figures make for grim reading.

Agents play a highly influential role in football today, and are key figures in orchestrating transfers.

They act as crucial intermediaries between client and club, and look to secure their client the best possible terms when it comes to a transfer or a new contract.

They have become more and more prominent in the game, and when clubs pay huge sums of cash for players, the agents also receive a lot of money themselves.

Wolves have leaned on agents – some more than others – for many years, and it has now been shared just how much the old gold have dished out to the middle men.

Wolves revealed to have spent a fortune on agents

The FA has now shared the amount of money each Premier League club paid to agents between February 2025 and February 2026.

In total, Premier League clubs spent a combined £460,300,308 on agent fees, which is deeply concerning.

Wolves’ figure is certain to go down very badly with fans, who have been extremely critical of the club’s recruitment in recent times.

Huge amounts of money have been spent just on transfer fees, but clearly Wolves have forked out massive sums to agents as well.

And that is a major kick in the teeth given how poor some of the newer players have been.

Of course, the biggest name associated with Wolves in terms of agents is Jorge Mendes, who will no doubt come into the crosshairs of fans in light of these figures.

Another person who should come in for some stick is Domenico Teti, who came to Wolves last summer as the club’s new director of professional football.

He oversaw a number of transfer deals, and surely had to have negotiated with agents, before leaving just months later shortly after Vitor Pereira was sacked.
