Derek McInnes says Nicolas Raskin is fit and available for selection in Rangers' opening European game of the season as they target a place in the Europa League.

The Belgium midfielder has been the subject of multiple reports linking him with a big-money move away from Ibrox, with his appearances at the World Cup adding fuel to the fire.

But, McInnes, who has led his squad to north-east Poland to face Jagiellonia Bilyastok in the third qualifying round, says as long as Raskin is at the club, he is ready to play his part.

"Nico's here because we feel he could give us something," he said.

"I spoke to Nico when he was on holiday and getting a break after the World Cup and I've spoken to him over the last couple of days.

"He's trained well in those sessions, so he's available, of course he is.

"There's obviously been a lot of chat about Nico but it's like everything, until a bid's accepted that suits everybody then he's fit and available for us.

"If he plays anything like he's trained over the last few days, he's definitely got something to offer us, I'm just delighted to get the chance to work with such a quality player."

New signings Daisuke Yokota and Olwethu Makhanya are also both available for a game McInnes believes Rangers will have to be in top form for.

"We want to put in a strong 90 minutes tomorrow night," he added.

"We have to make sure, going back to Ibrox, we have a good opportunity, but we're going to have to play well in both legs to go through.

"I look at Jagiellonia and I see good technical players with industry, good togetherness and very consistent last season. They came close to qualifying for the Champions League.

"We just need to concentrate on our own performance, we know we'll have to play at a high level in both games to beat this team.

"We need to weigh it up with [the new signings], we have to be fair to both lads. They're here for a reason.

"We're just delighted to get both players in and this morning we still weren't sure if they would be able to travel and be part of the squad, so great to have them both available."

Amid reports linking Rangers with PSV winger Couhaib Driouech, McInnes said: "We're currently looking at several wide players, talks ongoing, I don't want to be too specific but a few reports recently have been accurate.

"The owner has been supportive and we want to be as ambitious as we can."
