The former Celtic captain couldn't resist a noise up after Scotland's win over Haiti
Scott Brown trolled England goalkeeper Joe Hart and claimed he "wishes he was Scottish" after the wild celebrations following the win over Haiti.
Steve Clarke's men didn't have it all their own way against the Caribbean minnows, but John McGinn's goal proved to be enough to secure three vital World Cup points.
It was Scotland's first appearance in the tournament since 1998 - and their World Cup win since 1990, when they beat Sweden 2-1.
It was a party atmosphere inside The Gilette Stadium as The Tartan Army lapped up the moment in Foxborough - a far cry from the feedback England fans would have given former Three Lion's No. 1 Hart had they put in a similar shift against the Haitians.
Speaking on BBC Sportscene, host Kelly Cates noted: "I am just watching Joe Hart's face as he is watching these celebrations, after Scotland have beaten Haiti, one of the lowest ranked teams in the competition by a goal to nil, and made it really difficult for themselves in this game. Just explain why this is such a big win for Scotland?"
Brown responded: "Joe, we never do anything easily..."
Hart cut in: "The images are - I am not hating, I am enjoying it. I wish I was in that stadium now."
Brown would then lay it on thick, joking: "You wish you were Scottish really, don't you? You are about 70 per cent there."
Unimpressed Hart said: "You have gone way too far there Scott, way too far."
Cates then clarified: "You weren't being dismissive, it's just a different perspective altogether, isn't it Scott?"
Former Celtic and Scotland skipper Brown rounded off: "It's amazing for us. It's been so long since our last World Cup win, there will be so many fans in there that have never seen Scotland at a World Cup and have never seen us win a game.
"For them to pay the amount of money and share the special moment with the players and the staff, they deserve this."
