It's back to the top of the table for Hearts, but they'll be far from satisfied from their afternoon's work.

A 2-2 draw with Livingston gives Celtic the chance to gain some ground after Rangers did yesterday.

Stevie May's early opener suggested that there could be another title race twist on the cards.

Derek McInnes' men then started to create chances and Lawrence Shankland headed them back level.

The captain went close another twice before the break as a second looked to be coming.

It arrived after the break when Shankland headed across goal to Claudio Braga, who rose highest to direct the ball home.

There only looked one winner from then, but more sloppy play from the Hearts defence resulted in Lewis Smith firing home at the back post.

From then on, Hearts huffed and puffed but did little to merit a winner, and lost Marc Leonard to a red card in stoppage time for a cynical foul on Robbie Muirhead.
