While on the Algarve, however, O’Hara found himself needing to go to hospital.

Posting a picture of himself on a drip last night, the ex-Tottenham midfielder wrote on Instagram: “Got food poisoning from cheese on toast in albufeira absolute stinker”.

O’Hara then posted the same image to X this morning, similarly adding: “Man down in albufeira only got food poisoning from cheese on toast”.

Plenty of fans responded wishing the 39-year-old well.

O’Hara and co-host Jason Cundy have both been off this week.

They have been replaced by a rotating cast of stand-ins, with Max Scott and Jermaine Pennant set to cover tonight’s show.

O’Hara came through Spurs’ academy as a player and made 56 appearances for his boyhood club, scoring seven goals.

He also went on to play for Millwall, Portsmouth, Wolves, Blackpool, Fulham and Gillingham, before a spell in non-league with Billericay.
