Sheffield United player ratings after Birmingham City draw with one 8

Bramall Lane staged Sheffield United’s first game of the 2026/27 Championship season as Birmingham City made the trip to South Yorkshire.

There was little free-flowing football in a stodgy affair, one in which Sheffield United struggled to find their attacking rhythm.

While the football was not scintillating, the Blades were defensively strong and ensured Birmingham blanked in a goalless draw in the South Yorkshire sunshine.
