Along with RB Leipzigâs Yan Diomande, Olise has been touted as one of the names on Liverpoolâs shortlist to replace Salah.
For most fans, the Bayern Munich right-winger is right at the top and Gerrard shares a similar view.
Asked if he would like to Olise at Anfield, Gerrard told TNT Sports: âAll day long but the problem is, why would he leave Bayern Munich?
â[Theyâre a] big club, theyâre challenging for the big honours, probably the strongest Bayern Munich team weâve seen for a while.
âHeâs about to take the World Cup by storm come the summer. He looks like a really happy kid, settled.
âI donât think heâs going anywhere, but yes, I would love him at Liverpool. And you know what, I wouldnât mind [Luis] Diaz back as well.â
Gerrard was speaking in advance of Bayernâs Champions League quarter-final away against Real Madrid, and the pairâs performances in their 2-1 win at the Bernabeu only served to whet the appetite.

Olise wouldnât come cheap to Liverpool; the Reds have questionably been claimed to be offering âas much as âŹ200 million (ÂŁ173m)â by SPORT BILD, which fits into Sky Germanyâs report that a move is âcompletely unrealistic.â
In fact, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl has already said: âWeâre not wasting any thought on that (Olise exit).
âHeâs an FC Bayern player and has all the opportunities here that top players could wish for. Michael has a contract with us until 2029, without a release clause â weâre relaxed.â
