The World Cup is not getting in the way of the summer window hitting remarkable heights as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool work on strengthening their squads with new signings. The Gunners are said to be exploring a deal for Bradley Barcola, despite Paris Saint-Germain being reluctant to sell. Morgan Rogers is a priority signing, and Bruno Guimaraes has been sounded out - and potentially had his head turned.
Tottenham have managed to prise a Newcastle midfielder away with Sandro Tonali joining in a deal worth ÂŁ100million. Spurs have smashed their transfer record two times in as many days after agreeing a ÂŁ85m deal for Mateus Fernandes. Eli Junior Kroupi and Savinho could be next. Man Utd have missed out on both Fernandes and Tonali, and are now said to be interested in Alex Scott, Felix Nmecha of Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni.

Bournemouth are in advanced talks to sign Elche forward Alvaro Rodriguez.
The Athletic reports that the deal is worth âŹ30million (ÂŁ25.7m), and the forward will sign a five-year deal.
Real Madrid, where Rodriguez started his career, are set to receive half of the fee (ÂŁ10.6m) and lose their rights over the Uruguay youth international.

Man Utd 'make Wharton transfer decision' amid Adams 'interest'
Manchester United are reassessing their midfield plans after losing out to Tottenham for priority signing Mateus Fernandes, with Tyler Adams reportedly of interest.
The Mail report that Bournemouth's Alex Scott remains a player admired by decision-makers at Old Trafford. United have tracked the 22-year-old, who is a Spurs fan, for some time.
Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni is another player who has featured on United's shortlist. Whether a deal is realistic remains unclear. Much could depend on his role under Jose Mourinho following the Portuguese coach's return to the Bernabeu, while the overall cost of any transfer would represent a significant challenge.
Adams, Scott's Bournemouth team-mate, and Borussia Dortmund's Felix Nmecha are among the players under consideration.
But Carlos Baleba and Adam Wharton have not featured prominently in United's discussions so far this summer.

Tonali speaks about Spurs for first time
Sandro Tonali has explained why he has decided to join Tottenham ahead of flying to London to finalise his ÂŁ100million move from Newcastle.
Speaking to Italian media as he departed Milan airport on Thursday morning, Tonali said he had joined Spurs to take on a new challenge as the north London club look to rebuild under De Zerbi.
"We decided to make a change, so we are ready for this new adventure,â Tonali said.
He added: âNewcastle wanted the best for me, and I wanted the best deal for Newcastle. So we are all happy, and I am ready for this new challenge.â
Asked why he has picked Tottenham amid reported interest from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United, Tonali said: "Let's say that Roberto De Zerbi did a great job, had a big impact in all this.
"It is a life choice for my family, because we come from three years at Newcastle, and our lives change with our child's birth. So we decided to change a bit.
"De Zerbi made a great difference. He did his job, and he did it very well."

Official! Everton sign Hackney
Everton have announced the signing of Hayden Hackney.
The midfielder leaves Middlesbrough in a deal expected to be worth at least ÂŁ16million.
The 24-year-old played a key role in Boroâs promotion challenge, which ended with defeat to Hull City in last monthâs Championship play-off final at Wembley.
Hackney had just one year remaining on his contract, so was available on a reduced fee.
Spurs have long been linked with Hackney, and Crystal Palace explored a move this summer.

The 21-year-old arrives from West Ham a club-record fee, and signs a six-year contract

Sunderland forward Brian Brobbey is being considered by Juventus following an impressive World Cup with the Netherlands.
Italian outlet Tutto Mercato report that the 24-year-old is being looked at as an alternative to their first-choice target Randal Kolo Muani.
Kolo Muani is surplus to requirements at Paris Saint-Germain and endured a largely miserable loan spell at Tottenham last season. He has previously spent time on loan at Juve.

Guimaraes 'has head turned' by Arsenal as new asking price emerges
Newcastle reportedly fear Bruno Guimaraes could have his head turned by interest from Arsenal.
Standard Sport understands that the Gunners are exploring a move for the Newcastle captain as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his options in midfield.
Arsenal last week held initial talks with Guimaraesâ representatives to understand his situation.
An informal proposal of around ÂŁ55million was then made, suggesting the club had been given encouragement on the player side to firm up their interest.
