Tottenham plot shock Rashford move
Tottenham are plotting a shock move for Marcus Rashford, according to reports.
The England forward’s club future appears uncertain, with Barcelona allowing time to expire on the clause in his season-long loan that would have allowed them to sign him permanently for a fee of around £26m.
Instead Rashford will be on his way back to Manchester United after the World Cup, though it remains to be seen if Michael Carrick will be willing to reintegrate him into the first-team squad at Old Trafford.
According to new reports from The I, Spurs are exploring an offer for the player that would be lower than the £40m valuation currently held by United.

Exclusive: Arsenal given all-clear to sign 'next Alexis Sanchez'
FC Midtjylland are waiting for Arsenal to make their move to sign long-standing target Dario Osorio, who has been dubbed ‘the next Alexis Sanchez’, writes Sam Tabuteau.
The Gunners registered an interest in Osorio last summer and, while a deal did not materialise, the 22-year-old winger enjoyed another impressive season for the Danish side, producing eight goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
In a wide-ranging interview, FC Midtjylland technical director Kristian Kjaer exclusively told Standard Sport that Arsenal are among a number of Premier League clubs with interest in the Chilean winger, who can play across both flanks and has been tipped to make a big impact in English football.

Liverpool reject second Inter Milan bid for Jones
Inter Milan are being frustrated in their attempts to sign Curtis Jones from Liverpool.
The Serie A champions are revisiting their long-standing interest in the versatile Reds midfielder, having also pursued a deal during the January transfer window but seen a loan-to-buy offer rejected.
Inter made a permanent bid for Jones last week worth around £17.3m, and, according to Paul Joyce of The Times, have now seen a follow-up approach of £21.7m rebuffed too.
It seems that Liverpool are annoyed by those low offers for a player they value at approximately £35m, with negotiations having stopped for now.

Liverpool target Barcola as Diomande alternative
Liverpool have a list of alternative transfer targets in the event that they are unable to sign Yan Diomande this summer.
The Reds are eager to land another talented young winger following their surprise £34.5m deal for Spain’s Victor Munoz, with Diomande top of their shortlist.
A bid worth around €100m including add-ons has already been submitted and rebuffed as RB Leipzig hold out for an even larger fee for their prized asset, who is enjoying a starring role for Ivory Coast at the World Cup and now attracting interest from PSG.
Per Ben Jacobs, Liverpool will not be drawn into a long saga regarding Diomande and would be quickly ready to move on to other targets - a list that includes PSG’s Bradley Barcola, Yankuba Minteh of Brighton, Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Said El Mala of Cologne.

Tottenham 'close' to Mateus Fernandes agreement
Could Tottenham beat Manchester United to a shock deal for Mateus Fernandes?
The Portugal midfielder, like Crysencio Summerville, is widely expected to depart West Ham this summer following their relegation from the Premier League last season.
Fernandes had been expected to join Manchester United after Arsenal reportedly dropped out of the race, with a deal appearing close on more than one occasion.
However, Matteo Moretto has reported that Spurs are “very close” to reaching an agreement with the player on personal terms.
Fernandes is said to be open to joining Tottenham, who are yet to begin talks with rivals West Ham.

Chelsea and Man City close to Maresca deal
Staying with Chelsea for a moment, it looks like they are close to an agreement with Manchester City over Enzo Maresca.
The Italian left his role as head coach at Stamford Bridge on New Year’s Day, but the terms of his contract mean that they are due compensation as City line him up as their successor to the departed Pep Guardiola.
Those talks are said to have been ongoing over recent weeks, with Ben Jacobs now reporting that an agreement is set to be finalised between the Premier League rivals.

Chelsea eye Wharton as Fernandez replacement
Chelsea are reportedly targeting Adam Wharton as a potential replacement for Enzo Fernandez.
Fernandez is widely expected to follow Marc Cucurella from Stamford Bridge to Real Madrid this summer.
New Blues boss Xabi Alonso will need a midfield successor to the Argentine very quicky.
And reports over recent days have claimed that Chelsea are targeting Crystal Palace star Wharton, who is not with England at the World Cup.

Tottenham set Bergvall price after transfer request
While Sandro Tonali could yet be incoming at Tottenham this summer, Lucas Bergvall looks to be on his way out.
Standard Sport’s Matt Verri understands that the Swedish midfielder has formally requested to leave Spurs after becoming frustrated at a lack of opportunities to start in his favoured position at No8.
Bergvall will apparently consider proposals from clubs across Europe who can guarantee him that role, though has no interest in a loan move as things stand.
Tottenham have set an asking price of £45m for the 20-year-old, who is currently away at the World Cup with Sweden.

Tottenham prepare second Tonali bid
Tottenham are expected to make a second bid for Sandro Tonali.
Spurs have emerged as shock suitors for the Newcastle midfielder, who already had strong interest from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.
However, Tottenham are trying to beat their rivals to a surprise swoop for Tonali, having tabled a formal offer over the weekend worth around £80m for a player greatly admired by head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
While that approach was rebuffed, GiveMeSport claim that Spurs will return with a new bid and are willing to go as high as £85m.
However, Newcastle are believed to be looking for that fee up front plus an extra £15m in add-ons.
Tonali, crucially, is said to be open to joining Tottenham this summer despite their lack of European football for next term.

Diomande to Liverpool twist after bid made
There has been a sizable new twist on the Yan Diomande to Liverpool transfer front, it appears.
The Reds are long-time admirers of RB Leipzig’s star winger, who has been shining at the World Cup with Ivory Coast.
Liverpool are believed to have already bid for Diomande, an offer which Ben Jacobs of GiveMeSport recently clarified was actually worth €80m up front plus a further €20m in add-ons - not €90m plus €10m, as was originally reported.
However, they now face significant competition for the 19-year-old from PSG, who BILD in Germany report are poised to make an opening approach of their own having supposedly been in contact with the player’s camp for several weeks now over personal terms.
