Transfer news LIVE!
The summer window is open, and it has water no time delivering eye-catching transfer news. Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham are all already hard at work on new deals. The Gunners have made Morgan Rogers a priority signing, want to win the race for Christos Tzolis and are interested in Ayyoub Bouaddi, who also has admirers at Real Madrid. All three are at the World Cup, so patience is needed despite contact having been made.
Chelsea confirmed the exit of Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid on Monday, and will now look to sign a replacement. Newcastle’s Lewis Hall, a former Blues player, is said to be of interest. Man United - also admirers of Hall - are set to confirm Ederson as their first summer signing, and have been credited with interest in Bouaddi and a double swoop on West Ham for £50m-rated Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes, who could cost close to a club-record fee, which is currently more than what United want to pay.
The race is hotting up for one popular midfield target, with Tottenham interested in £85million-rated Sandro Tonali. Spurs are said to want to make the Newcastle midfielder the centre of their new project. Liverpool lead the race for Ivory Coast star Yan Diomande, who is set to cost close to £100m. When Hincapie will complete permanent Arsenal transfer
Arsenal signed Hincapie on loan late last summer but that was always with a view to a permanent move.
After a window of huge spending, pushing back the outlay on Hincapie to the next financial year suited Arsenal in order to comply with financial regulations.
Bayer Leverkusen were happy too, having already made the big sales of Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong that summer. It was more beneficial for them to start getting the payments for Hincapie a year later.
There has never been any real doubt that Hincapie would eventually join Arsenal permanently.

Why Tottenham move for Tonali could be perfect for club and player
Tottenham are in the market for a statement signing to underline their commitment to Roberto De Zerbi ahead of next season.
After successive 17th-place finishes, Spurs are determined to push on under the deeply ambitious, but combustible, De Zerbi after he secured Premier League survival on the final day with a 1-0 win at home to Everton last month.
In looking for a player to raise the ceiling for a squad desperately short of technical quality, they appear to have landed on Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali, with De Zerbi keen to bring his fellow countryman to north London.
The Spurs ownership are also backing De Zerbi in his pursuit of Tonali, though contact has only been made with his representatives and not with Newcastle.
The upside of any deal is obvious for Spurs, who lack creativity in the middle of the park. But what is in it for Tonali? This, after all, is a player who has courted the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs since first drawing parallels to the effortlessly classy Italian World Cup winner Andrea Pirlo while he was at Brescia.

Arsenal eye deal for Tottenham defender
Arsenal are exploring a deal to sign Elijah Upson — son of former Arsenal and England centre-back Matthew.
The 18-year-old is set to leave Tottenham later this month following the expiry of his contract, after not being offered fresh terms by Spurs.
The Athletic report that the Gunners could swoop to snap up the defender.
Man Utd make Summerville move
Manchester United have made their first move to sign Crysencio Summerville from West Ham.
The Athletic report that contact has been made between the two clubs, with United one of many potential suitors.
An asking price of £50million has been mooted, though United will be keen to get a deal over the line sooner rather than later.
Summerville scored as the Netherlands were held to a 2-2 draw by Japan in their opening game.
