The summer transfer window may only be in its infancy, but deals are being finalised at pace as Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United all look to strengthen ahead of the new Premier League season. The Gunners have stepped up their interest in Jeremy Monga by making an opening bid for the 16-year-old, while they are set to offer a pre-contract to young Georgian talent Andria Bartishvili.

An overhaul of the Arsenal front-line is also expected amid interest in Morgan Rogers and Christos Tzolis. Bradley Barcola continues to be linked amid talk of a bid being prepared. Man United aiming to bolster their midfield but are set to face competition from Tottenham for Mateus Fernandes. Spurs have completed the signing of Jan Paul van Hecke and would appear to have given up on Sandro Tonali, who remains of interest to Manchester City.

Wharton keen on Liverpool move

Adam Wharton is willing to move to Liverpool and play for new head coach Andoni Iraola.

That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim Liverpool have stepped up their interest in the Crystal Palace midfielder.

Having spent the past week ‘intensifying their work on a potential £70million deal for Wharton’, the Reds are said to believe can reach an agreement with Palace.

Furthermore, the report states Wharton is apparently 'eager about the prospect of moving to Anfield and becoming part of Iraola’s new era'.

Why Arsenal want to sign Christos Tzolis

Few had Christos Tzolis down as a potential Arsenal signing at the start of the summer, writes Matt Verri.

It is no secret that Mikel Arteta wants to add more goals and threat to his attacking options.

The Gunners are eyeing more than one signing to bolster those options and the likes of Bradley Barcola and Morgan Rogers are among those being considered.

Andrea Berta makes enquiries for a large number of players when putting together a shortlist, before then narrowing his focus and intensifying discussions with clubs.

Checks have been made for Club Brugge winger Tzolis and it is understood that the 24-year-old would be available for a fee in the region of ÂŁ35million.

Diomande to Liverpool

Liverpool are willing to put forward a package of €100m for RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande

This is according to The Athletic as the Reds are showing little sign of slowing down despite confirming the signing of Osasuna winger Victor Munoz for ÂŁ34.5m.

It is understood that while PSG are also interested in Diomande, Liverpool are in a better position, having offered the Ivory Coast international better terms at present.

DONE DEAL! Spurs sign Van Hecke

Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton.

Spurs had agreed a fee worth around £52million for the Dutch defender, who has secured a starting berth at the back for his country at this summer’s World Cup.

The centre-back has signed a long-term deal in north London, and he reunites with manager Roberto De Zerbi, who he played under at Brighton.

Arsenal make contract offer

Arsenal have reportedly made a move for young Georgian talent Andria Bartishvili.

The Gunners are said to have made a pre-contract offer to the 17-year-old starlet, who has drawn comparisions to his compatriot Khivcha Kvaratskhelia.

The attacking midfielder currently still plies his trade in his home country, and finished the most recent campaign on loan at Iberia 1999, where he made 11 appearances and scored once in the Georgian top flight.

He is contracted to Kolkheti 1913, and has made 17 appearances but not scored for his parent club since breaking onto the scene last year.

Arsenal have had their first bid for Jeremy Monga rejected.

However, the Telegraph claim the likelihood is that the two clubs will likely to reach agreement on a fee for the teenager which reflects his talent and potential.

Spurs interested in Fernandes

Tottenham are interested in West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes, according to David Ornstein.

It is believed that Roberto De Zerbi is a big fan of the Portuguese, who is also on Arsenal, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain’s radars, and any pursuit of the Irons man would be separate to a potentiald deal for Sandro Tonali of Newcastle.

Liverpool make Diomande decision

Liverpool have indicated that they are willing to pay around €100million to sign Yan Diomande.

The Ivorian is the Reds’ priority signing out wide as they look for a replacement for Mohamed Salah.

The Athletic report that the Merseysiders are firmly in the driving seat in the race to land the teenager, although they are considering alternatives if he proves too hard to prise out of Germany.

RB Leipzig make Barry approach

The Times report that RB Leipzig have made an enquiry to Everton about Thierno Barry.

The striker signed for the Toffees last summer, and scored eight goals in 38 games for the club.

It is thought that the Merseysiders would want to get back the ÂŁ27million they spent to buy him from Villarreal.

Man Utd to turn down Rashford loan

Manchester United do not want to loan Marcus Rashford out again.

ESPN claim that the Red Devils are only intent on selling the forward, who spent the season at Barcelona.

The Culers do not want to pay their buy option for the winger, which expired on Monday, but they do want to re-sign him on another temporary deal.
