A furious Thomas Tuchel called out Djed Spence during England's 2-1 win over DR Congo.
The moment stemmed from a second-half throw-in in front of the England dugout.
A masked-up Spence opted to throw the ball backwards rather than look to play forwards as the Three Lions pushed to come from behind to book a last-16 spot.
And footage has shown Tuchel laying into Spence, shouting: "Djed! There is one on one! Play up front!"
The Tottenham Hotspur full-back didn't look overly concerned at Tuchel's remarks as he shrugged his shoulders and trudged back onto the pitch.
It also isn't the first time that Tuchel has laid into Spence during the 2026 World Cup.
A viral clip of the pair last month did the rounds on social media as Tuchel told Spence to "wake up" during a training drill.
"Djed, Djed, Djed wake up! Wake up!" Tuchel could be heard barking at the former Nottingham Forest man.
Spence addressed the comments exclusively to talkSPORT, stating: "Yeah, I think it's normal. He's a great manager and he wants the best from his players.
"He demands high standards, and for this tournament, we need to be ready, we need to be honest.
"I think every session needs to be up to high quality andthat's what he demands. It's good."
And when asked how he felt about Tuchel's comments during training, the Spurs man said: "No feeling, really. I wouldn't be there anyway, and he says it to everyone else.
"No, no, no, freedom is just part of the game. If he needs me to do whatever, I'll do it. It's just part of the game, really."

England fell behind to an early Brian Cipenga effort in their round-of-32 clash with DR Congo.
Spence was caught out for the goal, though he wasn't helped by England centre-backs Marc Guehi and Ezri Konsa getting dragged away from their usual position.
England believed they should have had a penalty shortly before the break as it looked as though DR Congo goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi had fouled captain Harry Kane.
However, referee Adham Makhadmeh felt Kane had dived, and awarded the Leopards a free-kick instead.
Ultimately it took until the 75th minute for England to find a response as Kane headed the Three Lions level.
The 32-year-old then completed the turnaround with thumping 86th minute strike to set up a last-16 meeting with Mexico.
